Perhaps I’ve enjoyed a bit too much coffee this morning, but seriously folks, I’m all over the map – the dessert map, that is – when it comes to deciding which food adventures to share with you today. I’ve decided that I’m simply not going to decide. Instead, I’m going to indulge my sweet tooth and share a trio of German desserts… a foodie mosaic! I’ll let you decide what best captures your attention. Post a comment about your favorite photo below, and I’ll work on recreating the dish for a future post!

While I’m usually all about anything chocolate, the apple cake gets my vote today. It looks like something my German grandmother would have baked herself. And I’m sure my German dad would enjoy a slice with a good strong cup of coffee. It just looks like grandma’s kitchen.
An interesting perspective! One vote for apple cake… check!
My daughter lives in Germany and I visited her last May. Right next door to where she lives & works, is a lovely little grocery store. She & her fellow worker friend introduced me to this apple cake thing, lol. It was indeed delicious. They introduced me to a lot of good German food. 🙂
How fun! I was dazzled by the variety and quality of apple products in Germany. 🙂
The selection of cheese and sausages, salami meats were incredible. I was amazed at the large department in the store. Wish I had that much choice here.
