Think chocolate chip cookies but with a festive holiday twist. My kiddos love these. Santa will, too!
Ingredients (Makes 3 dozen cookies)
2/3 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup lime-flavored gelatin powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 3/4 cups flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Step 1) Combine all ingredients in the order listed. Mix well.
Step 2) Drop using a tablespoon onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Leave at least 1 inch between cookies. Sprinkle tops with green sugar if desired (optional).
Step 3) Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until bottoms begin to brown. Allow to cool on the pan for 1 minute before transferring to a wire rack.
