Chocolate covered pretzels are everywhere in December. The combination of sweet and salty is impossible for many people to resist! Today we’re crunching up a few cups of chocolate covered pretzels (a fun job for kids!) and baking them into cookies. This recipe is super easy and tastes scrumptious. What are you waiting for?
Ingredients (Makes about 5 dozen cookies)
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon rum
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups crushed chocolate covered pretzels (any combination of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, with or without sprinkles or other embellishments!)
Directions
Step 1) Cream together butter, sugars, eggs, and rum until light and fluffy. Add flour and crushed pretzels. Mix well.
Step 2) Drop by rounded teaspoons onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 10 minutes or until lightly browned on bottoms. Cool on a wire rack.
These cookies sound like a great idea!
I’m glad you think so – enjoy!
