Whisky Pecans

Candied pecans flavored with whisky and cinnamon? Yes, please! These are wonderful on a buffet table, in small containers packed in lunches, or fresh from the oven while standing in your kitchen. Enjoy!

Ingredients (Makes 2 pounds)

2 pounds halved pecans (or use pecan pieces for the same flavor but a lower price)

2 egg whites, lightly beaten

2 tablespoons whisky

1 1/2 cups sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon


Step 1) In a large bowl, toss together beaten egg whites, whisky, and pecans.

Step 2) Add sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Stir lightly to coat.

Step 3) Spread pecan mixture over two large, lightly greased baking pans.

Step 4) Bake in a preheated 250 degree oven, stirring every 15 minutes. Enjoy!
