It’s springtime, you’re busy, and the fussiness of holiday meals is behind you for a while. Spring is the perfect time of year to pull out your slow cooker and make a few easy, hearty, delicious dinners. Drunken Spare Ribs are perfect busy day fare. You can throw everything in the slow cooker in less than five minutes on a busy morning, and have a hot, delicious meal waiting for you at the end of the day. Enjoy!
2 pounds boneless spare ribs
1/2 onion, diced
3/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 cup beer
Step 1) Combine all ingredients except spare ribs in a mixing bowl. Blend well.
Step 2) Layer spare ribs and sauce in a Crock Pot or other slow cooker. Cover and cook on “low” for 8 to 10 hours or until spare ribs break apart easily with a fork.
Step 3) Serve with a green salad and either mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or gnocchi.
